Our November 2018 meeting was with speaker Oscar van Roojj. CHANGE THE MEANING, CHANGE YOUR LIFE

“The meaning we give to events will fuel our beliefs, our emotions, which will impact our actions and therefore our results. Is this end or the beginning, are you a victim or a victor? By getting in the drivers seat of our meanings, we take control again of our destination.”  Oscar van Rooij

In his talk “Change the Meaning, Change Your Life”, Oscar will take you on a journey where you will:

  • understand how your beliefs impact your results
  • create a success formula for creating the results you deserve
  • get back in the drivers seat

Oscar is an international speaker, facilitator, mentor, coach and Tony Robbins trainer. Oscar is working together with different organisations creating a change in companies, schools and individuals through delivering impactful and engaging events, training and coaching.

“If you want energy, engagement, enthusiasm and a guaranteed ‘take away’ by a group of delegates then Oscar is the person to stand at the front. He brings with him a presence that fills any room. As a result he has an innate ability to bring an audience along on any learning journey. Truly a skilful man.”

Paul Siaens, Graduate Resourcing and Development Partner at First Group plc.

“Wow!” is the phrase that comes to mind when I think about Oscar. Working with him is inspirational! It is one thing having skills, knowledge, energy, but it’s totally a different thing to be able to transfer what you have to others. Oscar is uniquely talented about connecting with people, seeing what they really need, where the pitfalls might occur. Any individual or team would be very lucky to have Oscar as a coach, and I find myself one of the luckiest among those people who had the chance.

Demet Erden, Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Africa, Imperial Brands

“Oscar has the rare ability to consistently inspire others. He helps people adapt their approach during periods of change and encourages them to want to raise their game. He has a passion for helping others tap into more of their potential, and feel better about themselves as they do it. A confident and gifted speaker.”

Our first meeting of 2018 on 5th February at 7:30pm at the new House Country Hotel was with speaker Warren Shute and his topic was The Money Plan – clear your debts, secure your tomorrow and live for today.

Warren’s first book The Money Plan offers a clear five-step process to gaining the life you want. The book achieves this through psychology and proven financial planning processes.

If you answer yes to some of the questions below, then you will enjoy the evening;

  • Do you have a clear plan of what your future looks like? Would it be helpful if you did?
  • Do you sometimes feel unorganised financially?  Could you achieve more?
  • Would it be helpful to make your financial decisions automatic?
  • Did you know there is a proven system to accelerate the repayment of your debts?
  • Warren intends to cover the above and more, to help you make 2018 your best year yet!

Warren is a Tony Robbins Mastery University graduate from 1996, from these early days he has pursued a life of education and personal development, which gained him his NLP Master Practitioner and Trainers licence from Richard Bandler (the co-founder of NLP).

Warren is also a Chartered Wealth Manager and Director at Lexington Wealth and Lexo.co.uk.  Lexington Wealth provides Financial Planning and Investment services to a select number of high net worth individuals and Lexo is an online platform offering access to a range of investment portfolios using the Dimensional Fund Advisers range of funds.

His firm, Lexington Wealth has been nominated as a Top 100 Financial Planning firm in the UK in 2016 and 2017, by CityWire and Warren was selected by the CISI as the CFP Professional of the Year 2017.

Warren frequently contributes to broadcast and national media on financial planning and investment matters and currently writes a regular column for the Independent.  He strongly believes in Financial Education and offers this through WarrenShute.com.

The Money Plan – clear your debts, secure your tomorrow and live for today – is due to be published December 2017.

Our meeting on Monday 2nd October 2017.

The topic was From addiction to passion, why it’s never too late to create a life you love with guest speaker Nick Elvery pictured above.

Nick Elvery is a former drug addicted turned entrepreneur, public speaker and habit change expert. Having reached rock bottom, Nick has turned his life around and is now helping others create habits to live healthier, happier and more productive lives.

Nick introduced his story, about learning to smoke when he was 13 years old, which led him into other addictions, specifically alcohol and the ‘real’ hard stuff for the next 12 years of his life. He ruined the relationships he had with family and friends, finishing up in Cambodia using crystal meth, ketamine and anything else that came to hand.

He was there for 3 months doing that.

Now, however, he feels privileged and it is his mission to Help People Live Powerful Lives.

This new perspective came about when he realised he was fat, depressed, and even suicidal. He’d come to a point when he thought nothing was achievable. Then he met Paul Davidson, had a 2-week experience with him – and the rest is history. “Now I’m here,” said Nick. And here is where Nick wanted to be.

Nick said he wants to help people instil habits in people and to supercharge their productivity and creativity in order to produce results in record time. To do that, the evening’s agenda would be as follows:

  • Why Passion Matters
  • Self-Belief
  • Self-Love
  • Meditation
  • Breath
  • Being Kind
  • Self-Awareness
  • Q+A

And that’s what we did.

Why Passion Matters?

We had a chat about defining passion, and then partnered up. The idea was to tell our partner what OUR passion was, and afterwards, we shared. There seemed to be a bit of a pattern. First of all – some people found it hard to specify exactly what they were passionate about, and then, when they finally came around to it, their passions all involved the provision of ‘something’ to other people – what I call ‘service’. One participant suggested a passion-identifier question, which was:

“What makes you smile while you do it?”

There followed a chat about who achieved anything meaningful without some sense of passion, and we explored a new perspective. It was suggested that while Superman dedicated his life to saving people, now and then he had to be Clark Kent.

Like him, most of us have lives that need funding, and families that need feeding and housing.

Which is not to excuse inaction in respect of goals, but it does make us realise that reality can interrupt. Necessarily.

Nick asked what would happen if everyone just woke up one day and started following their dreams. (I suggested societal collapse. J) Optimistic (?) suggestions included a world without war and greater productivity.

Whatever the optimists, pessimists or realists suggested,

Nick just said, “Never give up on your dreams.”

How many people do you know who DID just give up?

“Whether you think you can, or think you can’t – you’re right,” said Henry Ford.

We looked at the story of Roger Bannister, first man to run a mile in under 4 minutes. Until he did so, the scientists and athletes all agreed that it could not be done. Within a year of Bannister having proved them all wrong, several more athletes ran as fast if not faster, and a 4-minute-mile these days won’t even get you in the British Olympic Team.

This was all down to belief – and once it was shown to be possible, others could follow.

Self-belief enables you to follow your own dreams. If you believe you can do something, then it is possible.

I made the note: “What could you do FIRST?”

What could you be best at, an authority on, or show others was achievable? What could you do, sing, write, start, end, etc.?

First, the group defined this as self-belief, self-esteem, self-image. It is not necessarily any of those, though. You don’t need to believe in yourself to love yourself. In fact, you can love yourself even – and perhaps especially – when you don’t believe in yourself.

Nick talked about how we, as a race, love to beat ourselves up, self-criticise, and dump on ourselves. But when you can accept your failings and still love yourself for all that you are then you are most of the way to a life of contentment.

“Fill your cup before you fill everyone else’s,” said Nick. (And don’t forget to use your own oxygen mask before helping others put on theirs!)

We then partnered up to tell each other 5 things we loved about ourselves. Again, difficult!

Nick spoke of how he meditates for an hour on a daily basis, and how we should, too. Okay, he doesn’t expect that level of dedication at first, but a few minutes daily will help. He suggested some apps like Insight Timer (free) and Headspace (money).

It was agreed that meditation will destress, raise your awareness of what is happening and allow you to cope better with those events. It provides Resilience to Stress.

Nick recommended a book by Dr Joe Dispenza, called ‘Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself’, available HERE.

A Harvard study has shown that 8 weeks of meditation can cause physical changes, but a lowered heart-rate and lesser stress levels is enough, isn’t it?

As an aside, Nick says that the first thing he asks a coaching client is, “How are you sleeping?” He suggests that the first thing he asks any client to do is to get their sleep ‘nailed’, because the ability to relax and rest is foundational to a successful ‘waking’ life.

Wim Hof. Not a Swedish ice-cream but a philosopher who can spend hours in an icebox, hold his breath for weeks and not succumb to toxins deliberately and experimentally introduced to his body.

So, after concluding that while we can live for weeks without food and days without water but minutes without air, we looked at a breathing technique that involved making a lot of noise breathing in, then as much noise breathing out, for about a minute, as a result of which (and here’s the science bit) you oxygenate every cell in the body, reducing the urgency for the next breath.

In a moment of stress, we all ‘know’ that pausing for a moment to take a breath calms us. Whether we pause for that breath or not remains a good question but we know that it works.

So why not try this Wim Hoff technique and see if you deal with the unanticipated challenges of life in a more positive fashion?

Another aside: if you leave events like this and take away TWO things that you use, then attendance was worth every penny/minute spent.

You Deserve It – Be Kind To Yourself

It isn’t wrong to treat yourself. I don’t mean ‘treat yourself properly’, although that’s half of the equation. I mean ‘give yourself a treat’ now and then.

Give yourself that reward/experience/gadget* you’ve earned.

*See post!

Without self-awareness, Nick said, how can you possibly know what you need? You need to know yourself so that you can identify what changes need to be made. If you don’t self-analyse you won’t see what others might see, for example.

But you certainly won’t know what to address if you haven’t looked, will you?

Another take on awareness – do you know and feel what you are eating, or are you just inhaling food? People who ‘know’ what they are eating tend to eat less and therefore weigh less!

Look at how you move and how you stand – is there an imbalance which the body, in trying to correct it, damages another part of you? (For example, is your dodgy knee causing the opposite hip to twist to compensate?)

And what if you took THAT level of awareness into EVERYTHING you do?

What’s happening around you, who is there, what colours are there to see?

And eye-contact – when you are talking to someone, occasionally pay respect by looking into their eyes and allowing them to look into yours.

Questions and Answers.

A lot of this part of the session was addressing snoring and sleep. Eat less, lose weight, drink water and switch off your devices long before you go to bed. Read ‘Sleep Smarter’ by Shawn Stevenson. Get it HERE.

*Devices – they are an essential but, like smoking in the olden days, are a social experiment, the consequences of which we have yet to confirm. Radiation and electrical disruption to our own bio-electric ‘systems’ may yet prove to be as bad for our bodies as smoking was found to be.

The science is still trying to catch up. Nick recommends:

  • Use your speaker rather than hold the phone to your ear, when appropriate.
  • Avoid in-ear Bluetooth – use proper headphones that don’t attract radiation to your head.
  • Charge them in a different room at night, or at least away from the bed! If you use the alarm – make it so you have to get up to turn it off.
  • Stop using them well before bedtime.
  • Avoid, if you can, carrying them in a pocket. Evidence is being found to suggest people suffer tumours near their preferred hiding-places.
  • Don’t panic! But read the information that comes out and act when you see fit.

Another great evening of motivational input. Our thanks to Nick for travelling from Reading for a late night out.

If you would like to connect with Nick, go to www.DailyHabits.com, @nickelvery, or seek out and connect with him on Facebook.

Our next get-together is the traditional Christmas evening dinner, at the Pendragon in Thornhill (subject to confirmation as it may be undergoing refurbishment, apparently). Times will follow, but the date will be the 11th of December – keep the evening free!

Our meeting on Monday 7th November 2016 7:30pm at the New House Country Hotel was with guest speaker Dr Tom Waller.

Don’t let your health be the barrier to you fulfilling your potential in life, business and family. A unique approach to optimal health, maximum wealth and productivity.
When someone asks us what is our most precious commodity we would naturally reply; ‘our health and that of our families’.
But how often when we really think about it do we put our health first and as a result of focusing too much attention on our business we become distant from our families and sick, therefore left unable to run a profitable company and take care of our family. In the presentation Dr Tom will explore the definitions of health, wealth and productivity. The attendee will leave with new tools to instantly improve their true health potential, productivity and wealth.
About me:
‘I have a desire that every man, woman and child should be able to reach their true potential for health, happiness and wealth’ Dr Tom
Dr Tom regularly delivers talks to the South West community on a variety of health and wealth related topics. His particular interests lie with neurology, genetics, chiropractic and the potential of the human body for health and healing. He regularly engages with companies to give advice and guidance on how to maximise efficiency from a staff wellbeing perspective.
Dr Tom runs a successful, referral based clinic in Clifton, Bristol as part of the Willow Chiropractic Partnership. He is also politically active within his profession as an Executive Board Member for the United Chiropractic Association and delivers talks to chiropractors and students around the country and throughout Europe.

“I have attended two of Dr.Tom’s public speaking events so far and I thoroughly enjoyed the last one. It was well organised and informative, the size of the group was good. It was very interesting and held my attention. Dr Thomas Waller was welcoming and obviously knows his stuff! I would definitely recommend his course to others.”
Nikos Bakalis
“I really enjoyed the talk from Tom Waller a few weeks ago as it really got you thinking about what you could do after college. It allowed me to think about what kind of work environment I would like to work in and also some great pointers as to what makes patients really feel valued. For example a quick phone call after their first adjustment to check how they are can really go a long way. Also the ability to describe what chiropractic is and what a chiropractor does is absolutely crucial.”
Thomas Doig
“Big Thanks to Tom for taking their time to share lively stories and share real life experience. Open minded Talks like this are exactly what we need as students. Inform yourself about what’s out there, get involved, ask questions and find your own way.”
Agnes Laan
“The way Tom explained chiropractic and the reasoning behind it was pure genius, It was the perfect mix of science, philosophy and art. It was fascinating how he explored the different business modalities within chiropractic and how you can go about implementing it.
The best thing was that they weren’t here to tell us ‘this is THE to work’, they were here to explain ‘this is A way’ you can work. He only wants you to be the best chiropractor you can be, no matter how you chose to work!”
Mats Flodin

“It was really really good and inspiring ! Quite balanced even for the most close minded students haha ! Really helpful and always willing to answer to any of our queries ! Definitely will recommend everyone to attend next time and meet him !”
Marina Papadimitriou

“I feel grateful to have the opportunity to listen to this guy, for he really wants to push the conversation in our lovely profession forwards, and I mean respectful, understanding conversation! I am fed up with seeing chiropractors fight! This is the way forward… Thanks!”
Christian Sentker

“I liked the seminar a lot. It was great to see Tom just loving his work and loving to inspire other people with their passion for chiropractic. As we are coming closer to the end of the course it was very good to get some insight on what type of practices there are and what to look for in future positions. It was very motivational and reminded many of us why we are studying chiropractic. Looking forward to the next one already- thank you so much!”
Julia Schenk

“Had a great day learning tips and tricks on patient communication and business plans from this inspirational chiropractor who took his time to give us a free seminar. Besides that it was nice that everyone’s views/beliefs were respected.”
Jasper Durville

Long standing issues with wrist. Hospital immobilised – said take painkillers – how wrong!! Did Nothing.
Did the opposite by manipulation and encouraging activity! – Hey Presto!, massive increase in functionality and reduced in pain.
Rowan, 3 months, Baby
Since Rowan has been receiving treatment with Tom, she is like a different baby. After a difficult birth she never seemed relaxed or comfortable. She is now calm and enjoying life, I truly believe that bringing Rowan to you has finally removed all worry. I have recommended Willow to all of my friends with children!”
George, 35, Sound Editor
My job as a sound editor involves many hours of sitting and screen time, & I suffered badly with neck and back pain, along with severe headaches almost every day. I started visiting Tom weekly, and noticed a significant improvement straight away. After 6 months of regular visits the neck pain is completely gone, I have much greater flexibility in my back, and barely ever get headaches. I’ve made changes to my working habits based on Tom’s advice, which has enabled me to enjoy my work pain free.

Jeremy, 41, IT consultant
Came to Willow after an assessment at work, I had some issues with hips due to running and stiffness in neck and shoulders from sitting at a desk all day. Stiffness in my neck and shoulders was resolved quickly, much more free movement now.
But my most remarkable achievement is an increase in balance all after having a finger adjusted!
Lisa, 33, Paediatric nurse
I’ve had problems with my back and knees since I was 18 years old, where I injured my back working in a nursing home for the elderly.
Since being seen by the chiropractor I feel like a new person, I can now drive my car and check my blind spot without any discomfort. My back aches less and my knees do not ache as much either!
Thank you for this life changing treatment.

Our meeting on Monday 2nd March 2015 7:30pm at the New House Country Hotel with speakers Nick Doherty with his topic Self-awareness – the key to change and Ruth Steggles with her topic This doesn’t happen to people like us.

Nick Doherty explored the subject of self-awareness – what it is, its value and impact on us, how to recognise when it’s absent and how to continue the growth process among others.

Many of you will already be on your self-awareness journey but this exploration may reveal something that you had not considered and possibly prove a light bulb moment.

Nick lived in South East Asia for 13 years (1990 – 2003) managing fitness clubs. In 1999, while working in Jakarta, Indonesia, Nick participated in a series of intense self-awareness training programmes and, upon completion, worked part time with the training company as a voluntary facilitator for 3.5 years, covering all the training programmes on offer to the public and corporate sector including their teenage programme. Nick returned to the UK in November 2003 to change careers. He trained as a Hypnotherapist, returned to the Cardiff youth Service as a part time youth worker and has delivered self-awareness training to youth/social/play workers and MA students at Vilnius University, Lithuania.

Ruth Steggles started life as an engineer and then taught Physics. Whilst on a career break to have children she fell into direct selling and spent 17 years building and coaching successful teams. During this time her daughter suffered from anorexia. Fortunately Ruth was able to find the resources to coach her daughter to wellness. This experience encourage a slight change in direction leading her to retraining as an NLP practitioner and coach.

Ruth observed the affect that the stresses and strains of modern life combined with our general disconnect from nature were having on people and as a result created the business: Fresh Air Fridays. This runs transformational courses for business and individuals. These structured programmes reconnect people with their natural environment, gives them time out on their business rather than in it, engages their body with their mind and creates space for personal growth. The results are greater clarity and focus, increased productivity and effectiveness, expanded creative flow, better relationships at work and home, less pain, more bliss and greater happiness. Since launching in 2014, there are currently 12 trained facilitator with more in the pipe line. The vision is to have these courses running all over the country.

Ruth and her daughter have authored a book “Our Journey with Anorexia, How parents can be part of their Child’s recovery”. Ruth is passionate about all sorts of things including communicating with teenagers and supporting people to look after their mental health. She is on a mission to encouraging us all to be able to talk about mental health issues. Most people have an awareness of how to look after themselves physically, but far fewer have any idea as to how to look after their mental health. By creating a community to support people all over the country she intends to have thousands of people creating habits that support their mental well-being.

Ruth’s Children are now 17 and nearly 19, her greatest pleasures in life are walking in mountains, woods or by the sea; producing and eating delicious food. Ruth’s website is at www.thefreshaircoach.co.uk

Our meeting on Monday 5th January 2015 7:30pm at the New House Country Hotel was  with speakers Rob MansfieldOonagh Bastille and Tony Burgess.

Rob Mansfield shared with us how to Turn positive emotional intent into results.

Robert has always been interested in ‘techie things’, so when someone close to him became unable to communicate due to a complex issue, he felt compelled to see what he could do to help. This taster into the world of assisted care has now manifested into his eighth year of interest. During this time he has developed many bespoke solutions for individuals, including communication aids, environmental control systems, sensory interactive environments such as an interactive cinema, interactive learning tools ideal for rehabilitation, sports solutions for inclusivity among youngsters and Sign language videos, to name a few….

It has also enlightened him, regarding the human spirit and the power of intent and gratitude. He has organised several art projects around disability and care. In 2012 he was proud of greatly contributing on a project called, ‘ wishes’, which was exhibited at the Senedd . Robert produced the official book for the project which was presented on the BBC to the Welsh Assembly, in order to assist on matters of those receiving or giving care.

The most unexpected surprise though has been the awakening of natural creativity within him. He started writing books, eight to date now, over of myriad of subjects. He found a new skill of researching subjects and a curiosity of life and how we all live. This has spring boarded Robert onto alternative media network channels.
Robert meditates on a daily basis now which is opening new discoveries for him and is looking forward to 2015 with glee… and a knowing that all things are possible.

Robert’s main communication aid now works in twelve audio languages; each language offers 1,000 recordings, so approximately 12,000 in total. It offers a choice of thirty six text languages, for screen display. So for cross translation in this ever diverse society, it offers great support, ideal for hospital use?? Furthermore Robert has never charged for anything he has produced.

So that first request sent him on a path and it’s a path he wants to continue and hopefully inspire with. This is why he is grateful for the opportunity of presenting at this meeting.

Oonagh Bastille’s talk was “Dying to Know”  Oonagh has been a practising Financial Planner for over 20 years.  She has wide experience of simplifying financial resources, using tax planning arrangements to protect family interests.  Rigorous in expanding her knowledge, she continues to study the effects of changing legislation in this area.

While working from home, Oonagh was able to care for both her parents until their deaths.  This personal experience gave her the added confidence to help others going through these difficult times.  Oonagh has two adult children and, since her divorce, is well aware of how fragile domestic arrangements can be.  Dying to Know is the result of her experience.

Tony Burges talk was about Havening Techniques™ – Using breakthroughs in neuroscience to change your brain … for good!

Havening Techniques™ have been developed over the last decade by Drs Ron and Steven Ruden, private medical practitioners based in New York. (See www.havening.org )

Their research in brain-science has led them to develop methods for helping people ditch their past traumas, remove anxieties and fears, clear out their unhelpful emotions and ‘prime’ themselves for better experiences in life.

Havening Techniques™ have only been formally taught to other therapists, medical practitioners and coaches since May 2013, so it would be no surprise if you haven’t heard of this amazing development yet.

The method itself includes the healing medium of touch. For many years people have understood the immense value of massage, reiki, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Thought Field Therapy (TFT) and other hands-on therapies. The exciting and ground-breaking research carried out by Drs Ron and Steven Ruden has shown how we can literally change the landscape of our brains in order to experience life more freely. Through specific forms of gentle reassuring touch combined with mental activities that target the issue to resolve, the brain gets a clear biological signal of being in a safe haven.

The resulting toolkit of approaches blends beautifully with many other methods and approaches, enhancing their effectiveness. They can also easily be taught to people to help them help themselves.

Tony Burgess was one of the Doctors’ very first Certified Practitioners in Havening Techniques™ globally. He is now one of the first to be approved for training others to become certified practitioners in these powerful techniques for use in therapy, medical practice, coaching and personal development.

At this meeting Tony will be sharing how Havening Techniques™ work, you’ll see the methods demonstrated and you can also experience some of the benefits for yourself live in the session.

Tony is Director of Academy of High Achievers Ltd (Aha!) and spends much of his time training professional people developers to use a range of effective tools and approaches to enhance lives. He is also a therapist, coach, trainer, professional speaker, author and firewalk instructor.

As an experienced trainer, facilitator, speaker, firewalk instructor, therapist and coach, most of Tony’s time is now spent designing, co-ordinating and delivering performance-enhancing and life-enriching programmes for people who are hungry for more success and fulfilment in their lives.

Tony has worked with business leaders, teams within organisations, entrepreneurs, educators, students, sports people, therapists, coaches, trainers, presenters and members of the public to help them to tap into and release the full potential of their personal resources, preparing them to attain whatever outcomes they set out to achieve and much more besides.

Tony has a degree in psychology, and for the last fourteen years he has specialised in helping people to thrive in their endeavours by teaching them powerful personal empowerment techniques and offering them super-effective connection and communication tools.

Tony is a specialist in utilising a powerful blend of applied psychology and he often draws on his expertise in the areas of NLP, DiSC® and Havening techniques in his delivery.
Tony’s core philosophy is based on ‘loving kindness’ and ‘inspired action’ and by congruent example he constantly strives to help wake people up to their true greatness so they can ‘shine’ brighter

Our meeting on Monday 4th August 2014 7:30pm at the New House Country Hotel with speaker Guy Needler was Avoiding Karma.

Guy Needler MBA, MSc, CEng, MIET, MCMA initially trained as an electronics engineer, quickly progressing to become a “chartered.” However, throughout this earthly training, he was always aware of the greater reality around him as he caught glimpses of the worlds of spirit. From his teens to his early twenties, these glimpses drew him to revel in the spiritual texts of the day and meditate intensively. Then he was told by his guides to focus on his earthly contribution, so he scaled back the intensity of his spiritual work. When Guy reached his late thirties, he felt the call to return to his spiritual roles. The next six years saw him becoming a Reiki Master and pursuing a four-year commitment to learn energy and vibrational therapy techniques from experts in the fields. He studied with Helen Stott, a direct student and teacher of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing™ (BBSH) methodologies. His training and experience in energy-based therapies has resulted in his being a member of the Complementary Medical Association (MCMA).

In addition to his healing abilities and spiritual associations, Guy is able to channel information from Spirit. He is in constant contact with other entities within our multiverse, his higher self, guides, The Source, and, “The Origin.” It is his channeling that has resulted in The History of God, Beyond the Source Books 1 & 2 and Avoiding Karma. He has just submitted his 5th Book “The Origin Speaks”. He continues to receive and record information and is producing further work. Guy conducts workshops, readings and healings world-wide and has compiled a series of correspondence courses.

Talk Title Avoiding Karma
Avoiding Karma

In this presentation Guy will talk about his own spiritual awakening and the events leading up to the publication of his books, The History of God and Beyond the Source Books 1 & 2. He will then talk about his new book, Avoiding Karma, which describes what Karma really is and how it affects us as incarnate human beings, breaking a few myths along the way. This presentation will be interactive and will help the audience understand how to actively Avoid Karma and accelerate personal ascension in the process – eventually negating the need for experiencing incarnation as a method of evolutionary progression.

Our speaker on Monday 2nd June 2014 7:30pm at the New House Country Hotel was Tamsen Garrie.

Tamsen’s topic was The Act Of Attraction In Business (and in Life!)

Have you ever wondered why some people appear to create success in their business with ease whilst others appear destined to struggle?  The answer lies in The Act Of Attraction.

Attraction is already working for you whether you’re aware of it or not.  You are already attracting the people, circumstances and outcomes in your business through your activity, be it your internal activity: your desires, beliefs thoughts & feelings, or your external activity: your language, behaviour & actions.

Tamsen Garrie combines the powerful combination of HR and operational excellence and sound business acumen, with an inherent understanding of psychology and people to bring you The Act Of Attraction, a holistic and practical approach to creating the business success you want.

Tamsen Garrie Speaks at Yes Group Cardiff

Learning and consciously applying The Act Of Attraction in your business will enable you to deliberately attract the things, and build the business you truly desire, because when you get what’s going on in your head and what you’re actually doing working together in tandem – that’s when you create extraordinary results!

Tamsen Garrie is the creator of The Act Of Attraction and the author of The Act Of Attraction In Business.  She is best known for the significant transformation she makes with businesses and business people through her unique approach to business growth, where she combines sound business acumen with a deep understanding of how the mind works to effect extraordinary business results (without a hint of fluffiness!)

Ditching a successful HR and management career in the Oil & Gas and Investment Banking industries in 2002, Tamsen moved to Melbourne, Australia where over 4 years, she re-trained in Psychology, Clinical Hypnotherapy and Conflict Resolution.  Moving back to the UK in 2006, Tamsen set up her own private practice which she took from start-up to an associate model within 12 months.   She later joined the board of a small aspiring business network in the South West of England and over 18 months, developed the infrastructure, including the leadership team, processes, systems and training to enable its growth into the thriving national business that it was when she sold her shares in 2011.

Her experience working with hundreds of businesses, training numerous leaders and developing numerous teams has resulted in a thorough understanding of the many challenges that are familiar to business owners and managers.  This coupled with her engaging communication style and her ability to work with all types of people makes her uniquely placed to work with businesses to develop the vision, the mind-set, the behaviour and plan to create personal and business success.

In this talk, you will discover:

  • The ONE single reason people fail to achieve the results they want
  • How to align what you are doing in your business with what you want to achieve by leveraging the FOUR fundamental success factors.
  • How to create a Vision that motivates you to take action and not just any action, but the specific action necessary to achieve the results you want.
  • How to ensure that your Mindset is aligned with your vision, so that you are conditioned internally to make it happen!

David Palmer and his topic  Effective Time Management

David Palmer

In this presentation David Palmer will provide a short input on effective time management.

Always feel as though you’re chasing your tail? David will provide input on planning your week so that you don’t have to spend so much time catching up with what you’ve forgotten, including an interactive planning session that you can adapt to your own circumstances.

Trained in coaching and to deliver personal development material to peers and teens, David is motivated by seeing the potential in people to make great strides towards living successful, principle-centred lives, a motive he hopes serves both his students and those with whom they ultimately inter-relate. He is an avid believer in using humour and illustration to wholly engage course participants in their learning, and in seeking out their contexts in an effort to make the teaching more relevant to their own situation. In the end, the success of his efforts can be shown by the way his students take their learning forward in their personal and professional lives.

A committed student of values-based ‘time and life management’, he encourages participants to consider themselves from a ‘whole-life’ perspective, helping them to understand what they are about, and how they can get more of that in a balanced way that serves their needs, and the needs of those with whom they work and live.

David has trained and acted as a Master Facilitator of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens and in the Navigator Personal Development Programme for Men. He has studied the works of Stephen Covey, Hyrum Smith and Charles R Hobbs on values-based time management in depth.

David Palmer

In this presentation David will look at several of the key concepts outlined and described by Stephen Covey in his book, “Principle-Centred Leadership”. Starting with a brief introduction on how Dr Covey came to be the famed and internationally respected leadership writer that he was, he will look at personal leadership and explore with the audience how application of these concepts can make a difference for them.

He looked at questions like:

  • How you see your life, and why – and is it correct?
  • Levels of Leadership
  • Characteristics of Principle-Centred Leaders
  • The Three Resolutions – how using this concept can make a difference
  • The Three Character traits of Primary Greatness

Trained in coaching and to deliver personal development material to peers and teens, David is motivated by seeing the potential in people to make great strides towards living successful, principle-centred lives, a motive he hopes serves both his students and those with whom they ultimately inter-relate. Why Do I Love Twitter More Than Chocolate?’

If you have ever wonder what is the point of twitter or you have twitter and wonder, why? or you want to find out how twitter can add tremendous value to your life then see you Monday 7th October 2013 at 7:30pm at the New House Country Hotel, Thornhill.

Why Do I love Twitter more than Chocolate

Our 1st July 2013 speakers were Clare Turner-Marshall and David Thomas.

David Thomas spoke about “It’s not the cards you are dealt in life but the way that you play them”

This is link to David Thomas on Oprah

  1. Success is a question of process, strategy, technique, practice and application
  2. We all have skills we never even knew we had
  3. Personal responsibility is the bedrock of success and happiness

David Thomas suffered dreadfully at the hands of his alcoholic mother and physically abusive aged stepfather. By the time he was 16, he had committed multiple burglaries, attempted suicide twice, nearly killed a police officer with an iron bar, been expelled from school and received a juvenile criminal conviction. At the age of 20 he joined the Fire Service and after failing his promotion exams several times, bought a book on memory. Inside 8 months, he went to the World Memory Championships and came 4th. He then went on to develop one of the most powerful memories in history including becoming 2007 US Memory Champion and breaking a Guinness memory record for reciting Pi to 22,500 digits.

He left the Fire Service in 1999 and now travels the world talking about motivation, brain, mind, memory and accelerated learning. He has spoken in 26 countries and written three books with sales totaling more than 500,000 copies. The second one went No.1 in The Sunday Times bestseller list. He has appeared in the media more than 500 times including going on Oprah, a show that went out to 500 million people.

Clare Turner-Marshall is a Professional Speaker and Money Guru. Clare believes that “Phenomenal” describes how you feel when money no longer rules your life. It’s what it feels like to enjoy your money, to be wealthier and happier. Phenomenal is being free of money worries so that you can stop existing and start living. Her purpose is to get you there. She will help you to uncover the truth about your relationship with money. Then, applying over 15 years’ financial experience, she will put in place the practical steps that change the way you deal with money – forever.

By changing your relationship with money, you can change your life. The way you deal with
money is formed in childhood and it can rule your life. That’s why, without help it’s a tough
pattern to break.
Clients found for years that any asked for financial advice and find it didn’t solve the problems that they were encountering. Of course it didn’t solve the issues because money issues don’t just stem from the wrong investments or a poor choice of mortgage. They begin with you and the way you deal with money.
We can seek help to understand why we do the things we do but there is a chance it won’t help your finances, because analysts and life coaches tend not to come with a background in
financial management. That’s where I am different, I do. I’ve been helping thousands of people enjoy a better life by learning about themselves and money. I’ve worked with some of the top corporate and private financial companies. Now I mix that practical financial experience with personal coaching that will free you from a life ruled by money. And that’s something that feels… phenomenal.

Why Clare?

Clare has been a speaker for some time and has now become a professional speaker. Every
audience she is in front of leave inspired and motivated to change the things in their lives that are not working effectively. She is fast being known as the female speaker to watch in the UK at present.

“Feel the fear and do it anyway”
The talk is about getting on in life and the belief that you need to have in you. We can all get stuck in a rut, however I share my story of how adversity got me where I am today. Without the experiences I had I would not have what I do now. I talk about our life blueprint and how when this has a virus the success we achieve is never really what we want. I will share how you can change what is not working and get it working in a phenomenal way.

Outline of benefits of talk for the audience
The audience will leave with inspiration as to how they can make changes that will help them make a huge difference to their personal and business money situations. Clare will inspire them to make changes in their money blueprint to make it the dream of success that they have had for a lifetime.
Here’s what clients had to say about Clare:

Two areas of your life you do not want to talk freely about or give up to the so called experts –
Your Money and Your Health. Well the first one is safe in Clare’s hands! She does not take your money but advises you on the best practices and how to ensure you never run out!”
Mark Hamilton-Taylor – Director @ Linkedin Uk
Clare is a future force to be reckoned with in the financial coaching world and an absolutely
amazing woman to work with! An outstandingly open, authentic and to the point person to
trust. Definitely one to watch!

On Monday 6th May 2013 we had Benjamin Leppier with The Secrets of Self Mastery and your path to Success – Read here Yes Group Notes – May 2013

Our guest speaker in May 2013 Benjamin Leppier, author of the Naked Warrior, founder of the League of Warriors Programme and owner of a Lease & Lease Option Portfolio.
Benjamin Leppier
Benjamin Leppier

Ben was an Engineer in the past and worked a 9-5 job for 10 years, when he was sacked from his old job for doing too much property work in company time. He had a modest amount of business experience, so was very wet behind the ears and he would find out how challenging the real world could be very shortly.

So he and his business partner embarked on a full time property journey, with £50 per month income from property and £14K in the bank. The journey only really started when he ran out of money and needed a magic pill to make money as quickly as possible through property, so rent2multilet properties made sense.

Ben replaced his income within 12 months and whilst systemising himself out of his role within his business, he began to take full time to mentoring others who wanted to know more. As a result of this mentoring it soon became obvious that people needed more time and support to push through their self imposed limits to help get them to where they wanted to go. Also the things that actually stopped people from achieving results had very little to do with strategy.

He is the expert in personal development & weeding out the cr*p that holds you back. He is a father to Florence and fiance to Kerry and dedicates his time to the League of Warriors programme to support entrepreneurs and experienced investors, smash through plateaus or take things up to the next level.

In the May event Ben will be sharing his journey, how to make property work for you in rapid fire style and how to access the things that are really hold you back on maximising your results for 2013.
